ACCOUNTING
A. INTRODUCTION TO THE PROGRAM
The Bachelor of Business in Accounting is one of four joint university programs between the University of Finance and Marketing and HELP University, Malaysia (TOP 10 Universities In Malaysia, HELP University is the first private university in Southeast Asia to be awarded the top 5* award in all 8 categories by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) - Star rating system for international higher education institutions), this is one of two joint programs that students rate as "the most difficult to study" compared to other joint majors at the University. However, career opportunities for graduates from UFM's joint program in accounting are very open. They have always received attention and high appreciation from prestigious financial corporations, auditing agencies, and the world's leading accounting firms over the past time.
So what is accounting?
Accounting can be simply understood as follows: accounting means listing and recording the assets, properties, and activities of a unit or organization; math is calculating and calculating the results of labor that people achieve. So what is accounting? It is the work of recording, collecting, processing and providing information on the economic and financial activities of an organization, enterprise, agency, etc. More specifically, accounting is the industry that carries out the process of collecting, processing and providing information on all assets, sources of asset formation and asset movement in enterprises and organizations, thereby providing useful financial information for making economic and social decisions and evaluating the effectiveness of business activities.
The main object of accounting is the formation and fluctuation of assets that accounting needs to reflect, expressed in two aspects: assets and capital sources in the process of business operations. Accounting is often divided into two fields: public accounting and corporate accounting.
Choosing to study Accounting, students will be trained from basic knowledge of the industry such as accounting principles, management accounting, cost accounting, auditing, ... to specialized knowledge of the industry such as Bank accounting, Financial accounting, Tax, Public accounting of securities companies, financial statement analysis, foreign exchange trading, ...
B. TRAINING OBJECTIVES
To train Bachelors of Accounting with good political qualities, ethics and health; to be responsible to society; to have a firm grasp of basic knowledge of economics, politics and society; to have a firm grasp of specialized knowledge and skills in accounting; to design and operate accounting systems in accounting units; to have independent thinking; to have the ability to research and self-add knowledge according to job requirements.
C. PROGRAM INFORMATION
1. Admission requirements: High school graduates (or equivalent), grade 12 average score of 6.0 or higher.
2. Selection models: Study model: Students are free to choose 1 of the following 3 study models:
✅ 3+0 model: 3 years of study at the University of Finance - Marketing, Vietnam.
✅ 2+1 model: 2 years of study at the University of Finance - Marketing, Vietnam and 1 final year of study at HELP University, Malaysia.
3. Admission fee: 500,000 VND/set of documents
4. Language of instruction: English
5. Program allocation:
✅ Candidates who meet the IELTS 5.5 or higher or equivalent entrance requirements will be admitted to the main program (major). The total study time for major modules is 3 years.
✅ For candidates who have not met the English entrance standards, the University of Finance - Marketing will arrange an English entrance training program to meet the entrance standards before entering the main program.
6. Study method: Full-time study model in Vietnam:
✅ Lecturers sent by HELP to take charge of 20 hours of review lectures (if the class size is 35 students or more)
✅ Experienced lecturers (foreign and Vietnamese) from UFM take charge of 42 hours of theory lectures (for 4-credit subjects).
7. Study time: Full-time study during the week from Monday to Saturday
8. TUITION: Paid by semester
✅ Tuition for the English training program (only for students who have not met the English entrance standards): 60,000,000 VND/entire training course (including 4 levels, each level is equivalent to 15 million VND). Students will be tested and classified according to their respective levels by the School.
✅ Tuition fee for the year of major in Vietnam: 1,600,000 VND/credit. Total program from 120 -130 credits depending on the major.
✅ Tuition fee abroad: If students choose the 2+1 or 1+2 study abroad transfer model in Malaysia: Estimated tuition fee is about 8,500 USD/year, living expenses from 300 - 500 USD/month.
9. DIPLOMA
BACHELOR OF BUSINESS (Bachelor of Business) awarded by HELP University (MALAYSIA). This is a regular degree accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and registered with the Malaysian Qualifications Regulatory Authority (MQR), has international value, and is recognized by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam.

Accounting students, after graduation, can take on many different positions:
✅ Specialist in charge of accounting, auditing, tax, banking transactions, controller, cashier, financial consultant, ... at enterprises in all fields
✅ Chief accountant, Head of accounting department, CFO, Financial manager in all types of domestic and international enterprises, Researcher, Lecturer, Economic Inspector, ...
